Our style - Classy, elegant, and fun

Our work is based upon several core tenets that we believe improve our product and make the process more enjoyable for our clients. An informed planner will consider the following when selecting a videographer:

    Graduations

  1. Non-intrusion: We make every effort to capture every activity that happens during an engagement. However, where it is possible to capture that activity without causing the participants to be uncomfortable or to feel awkward, we avoid intruding. Placing a camera next to someone changes their behavior, and we don't want people to play to the camera. Some weddings tend to feel more like elaborate productions staged for later viewing, which is what we try to avoid.
  2. Fast turnaround: Many video companies require six months or longer for your video to be finished. We guarantee that your video will be delivered within two months of receiving payment in full.
  3. Good footage first: Most editing software today is capable of producing fantastical transitions and flashy special effects. These effects, however, are only useful in moderation, or not at all. When is the last time that you watched a professional television program that had more than a simple fade between scenes?

We'll be happy to add more pizazz if you'd like. It's hard, though, to cover up bad footage by using lots of special effects. The best way to create a long-lasting and memorable video is to concentrate on the event, and to present it in a straightforward, easy-to-follow manner.
  4. Only deliver our best: We do not offer a "raw footage only" package like some video companies do, because we believe in delivering only our best work. "Raw video only" packages are just that - raw footage, which rarely looks pretty. Generally, it is not interesting to watch raw footage of an event. First, raw footage is exceedingly long, sometimes as many as eight hours in length. Your family will not want to sit for eight hours to watch it all. Second, the good footage is interspersed with the bad footage (and three-quarters of raw footage is bad), so there's no pattern to find what you're looking for quickly. Third, the bad footage often captures the ceiling, the floor, irrelevant conversation, and other things best cut out from the finished product. While amusing to view for editing purposes, customers expect high-quality video, and often fail to realize how much bad video is required to produce a small amount of good edited video. Thus, while we do include the raw video in all packages, we only offer packages that allow us to present your event in the most creative and professional way possible.
  5. Graduations

  6. Every camera is manned: Many companies offer "two cameras, one videographer," or even "three cameras, one videographer" packages. Since one person can't be operating all the cameras simultaneously, the "B" (and possibly "C") cameras are left stationary. These stationary cameras provide great shots... for only a few seconds, that is - because their angles never change. It's impossible to include more than 10% of the final edited video from these unmanned cameras because of this "angle problem." The cameras can also be knocked off-balance accidentally, ruining hours of footage. We believe it's unfair to charge a whole lot more for a 10% benefit, and therefore we always operate one camera per videographer.
  7. All-day coverage: All of our packages include "all-day" coverage, from a few hours before the start time to the conclusion of your event (*events over seven hours subject to an additional fee). The full day coverage is included in the price, and these packages are not listed at a "starting price." Be wary of companies that offer packages "starting at" a certain price, because the actual price often ends up much higher than the starting figure, after additional time, options, fees, and taxes are calculated. Instead of agonizing over a few minutes here and there, we use our experience to tape what will deliver the highest quality video to you.
  8. No premade video templates: We don't use premade "templates" where we plug in our video footage and come out with a finished product in under 20 hours. Original video packages require 65-100 hours of editing to create and polish, and often involve watching the entire two-hour video from start to finish up to five times, "debugging" small errors as they are noticed (see debug sheet).
  9. Videos available online: If you select the "Deluxe HD" package, we will host your event video online so that your friends and family can view it for up to one year after it is created. You can see what other customers have received for yourself.
